You would need a US transit visa if you stopped in Miami. You might want to go from Manila to London and then from there to the Turks and Caicos Islands, since it is a British territory and they have direct flights to the UK.

Stroll Fisherman's Wharf and eat chowder from bread bowls, check out the museum ships. Take the ferry tour to Alcatraz. We got BART passes and spent several hours riding around. We saw Chinatown, the Presidio, North Beach, Haight Ashbury, etc. I wish you could spend some week days and see more, We love it. Have a wonderful, romantic weekend.

My experience at Nikki Beach Turks and Caicos « Result #12 on May 27, 2009, 6:42am »
On arrival to the Turks and Caicos Islands I was the only ones being picked up in a limousine at the less than large airport, the pampering began!!! I pulled up the lobby which was amazing in itself as you could see straight out to the beach as soon as you got there. I was greeted by personal assistants and the General Manager Jonathan, who welcomed me with cold towels and fruity drinks. Ahhhh paradise!!after walking the beautiful property and being taken up to my room I had a great deep tissue massage underneath the wedding cabana and then dinner. I went to a few restaurants while I was there, Coyaba, Parallel 23 and Anacaona and of course the Nikki Cafe', oh it was ridiculously great. Price ranges on the island are really high but the experience is worth it.

We recently spent 5 nights in San Francisco. We were visiting our son, but it was also our first time in San Francisco. I highly recommend taking a tour of the city when you arrive. We took a tour with Mr. Toad's Tours, a 3-hour tour in a vintage car, that shows you the highlights of the city. It gave a very good overview, and then you can decide what you'd like to go back and visit. There are also hop on-hop off doubledecker buses as an alternative. You can buy a day pass or a pass good for several days. A trip to Alcatraz is also a must, but book it online in advance as it fills up quickly, especially in the summer.

keep traveling « Result #19 on Aug 18, 2007, 4:46am »
The daily schedule has propelled a human being to look like a robot which is programmed only to repeat the assigned tasks and meet his target day after day. Todays human being has completely lost it's individuality. There is no difference between one day with another, it is basically a repeatation of some thing of what he has done just a day prior to that day. Even in this age of technology an individual looks very helpless. In this state I really think one needs motivation from outside, which not only energies the mind of that particular individual but also his soul. There is no better way to do that than traveling. And we must not forget about these travel forums like this one, which acts as a catalyst, merely sharing your past experiences it evokes the wish to go out again and again; So my motto is to take few days out of my busy schedule and go out traveling simply to learn more. So keep traveling and keep learning.........
